WVU High School Flute Camp
June 17-20, 2009

The camp is open to all high school flutists who are entering grades 9-12 in the 2009-2010 academic year. All events will take place at West Virginia University’s Creative Arts Center on the Evansdale Campus. The camp and its tuition cover all activities except private lessons.
Accommodation fees are separate from camp tuition. Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase via the Meal Package .
Camp Activities:
- Masterclasses (flute solo and also flute repertoire with piano)
- Small group lessons with student faculty
- Tone & Technique Classes
- Music Classes: Electives
- Chamber ensembles
- Large Flute Choirs
- Faculty and camp recitals
- Gala Concert for family & friends
- Exhibits
- Electives (please see Registration Form_09 for more details)
Registration and Tuition:
Registration Deadline: June 1, 2009
Tuition: $150.00
Priority Registration Deadline: May 1, 2009
Tuition (if registered by May 1): $125.00
In order to register for the camp, please complete the Flute Camp Registration Form_09 and return it with your tuition payment by June 1, 2009.
Schedule Information:
Once registration has closed, a detailed schedule will be announced. The basic schedule is as follows:
- Wednesday, June 17: Dorm check in 12-2PM; Camp meeting 3 PM. Activities until 9 PM.
- Thursday and Friday, June 18-19: Classes begin at 8:30 AM and continue through 9 PM
- Saturday, June 20: Classes begin at 8:30 AM; dorm check out; Gala concert at 1 PM
