West Virginia University’s Piano Festival and Competitions has something for everyone. It’s the only festival of its kind to explore “The Intersection of Jazz and Classical Music,” offering outstanding artists, teachers, workshops, concerts, panel discussions, and more.
Our exploration of the connections of jazz and classical repertoire will feature the 2016 guest artists Jerome Lowenthal and Dan Haerle. Mr. Lowenthal is a member of the piano faculty at the Juilliard School in New York. Dan Haerle taught jazz studies at the University of North Texas for more than 25 years. They’ll be joined by invited presenters from across the United States and, of course, WVU’s talented keyboard faculty.
